Your child is an important individual and at Pelican Place Nursery is given the freedom to grow and develop naturally.  We provide a stimulating and exciting environment for children with the opportunities for free play as well as planned activities that are designed to meet each child's individual needs and interests according to their stage of development.  

We aim for children to make progress in their development and at the same time build their self-confidence and begin to enjoy learning and finding out about the world around them. Opportunities are provided for children to express themselves, take risks and to share their experiences.

We have a large all weather garden that is accessible to all children every day.

We like to invite parents and carers into the nursery to engage in a wide range of activities with the children including cooking, modelling, arts & crafts, sharing with the children aspects of their work and different cultures and languages.

We use an online Learning Journey that parents and carers can access at anytime to look at their child's individual progress and to see the activities they have taken part in on a daily basis.  Parents are welcome to discuss their child's progress or any concerns they may have, either informally at the end of each day, or via appointment.
