We are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm for children aged from 6 months to 5 years.

Our Aims

Our aim at Pelican Place Nursery is to provide a caring, stimulating and safe environment for all children in our care, and to provide a happy transition for children and parents from home to nursery and later to school.  Your child’s safety and well being is always paramount in everything we do as well as ensuring that your child is treated with warmth, kindness and respect as an individual.

All children take part in stimulating and exciting activities based on the EYFS that are designed to meet their individual learning and development requirements.

The team at Pelican Place Nursery are qualified to work with children and have been chosen because of their professionalism, experience in working with children and caring attitudes. All practitioners are encouraged to attend training to expand their existing knowledge.  Key practitioners support children’s individual needs, as well as identifying and supporting developmental next steps.

Our policies and procedures are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework.

At Pelican Place Nursery we provide outstanding full day care for children aged 6 months until school age, 5 days a week, excluding bank holidays, 51 weeks a year, closing for a week over Christmas.

Pelican Place Nursery is situated in the centre of Witham close to the main shopping area and mainline railway station. The nursery provides a safe and caring environment for children and attracts families from surrounding areas with working parents some of whom travel to London each day for work.
